API Keys Setup Guide
MeetIQ Pro uses your own API keys for transcription and AI features. All keys are free to get and stay in your browser — we never store them on our servers.
Groq API Key
Required — powers transcription fallback + AI suggestions

Go to console.groq.com and sign up with Google or email (free)

After logging in, click API Keys in the left sidebar

Click Create API Key, give it a name like "MeetIQ", and click Submit

Copy the key (starts with
gsk_) and paste it into the Groq API Key field in MeetIQ

Groq's free tier includes generous rate limits — more than enough for most meetings. The key powers both Whisper transcription and Llama 4 AI suggestions.
Deepgram API Key
Recommended — multi-speaker transcription with speaker identification

Go to console.deepgram.com and sign up (free — comes with $200 credit)

Once logged in, go to Settings (gear icon) then API Keys

Click Create a New API Key, name it "MeetIQ", and set permissions to Member

Copy the key and paste it into the Deepgram API Key field in MeetIQ

Deepgram's $200 free credit lasts a long time — around 100+ hours of transcription. It's the default engine and provides speaker identification (who said what).
Gemini API Key
Optional — screenshot OCR + Gemini AI suggestions

Go to aistudio.google.com/apikey and sign in with your Google account

Click Create API Key and select any Google Cloud project (or create a new one)

AIza) and paste it into the Gemini API Key field in MeetIQ

The Gemini key enables Screenshot OCR — when you capture a slide or screen, Gemini reads the text and auto-corrects your transcript. Also unlocks Gemini Flash as an AI suggestion engine.
OpenAI API Key
Optional — only if you select GPT-4o for AI suggestions

Go to platform.openai.com/api-keys and sign in or create an account

Click Create new secret key, name it "MeetIQ", and click Create

sk-) and paste it into the OpenAI API Key fieldOpenAI requires a paid account with credits. Only needed if you prefer GPT-4o over Groq Llama 4 for suggestions. Groq is free and works great for most users.
Anthropic API Key
Optional — only if you select Claude for AI suggestions

Navigate to API Keys in the settings menu

Click Create Key, name it, and copy the key (starts with
sk-ant-)Anthropic requires a paid account. Only needed if you prefer Claude for suggestions. Groq Llama 4 is free and recommended for most users.
